Don't Go IN There

I really do not like posting a bad eatery - but both the wife and I could not finish our mealsat "Los Faroles Mexican Restaurant." We ordered large beef fajitas for two. The meat was severely seasoned, the tomatoes had been frozen at some point and stored in a fridge - which KILLS any taste they might have had! The wife had tea, took just a sip and set the glass as far away as she could. BLEAH!

Oh well - live n learn - we were in hopes of finding somewhere close to the house. For me the best Mexican so far is a tie with one restaurant being on Memorial Drive, West of Wescott about 1/2 mile and the other being on State Hwy 6 @ Williams Trace. The 2nd is better priced but both have Fantastic food and a Funn attitude.

And Good Friends to Have

As noted by a Friend...

FINALLY back on line after nearly a month incommunicado. The old machine was ultimately found to be non repairable, so this is a new one I'm not used to yet, so please ignore any typos for a while. So glad to get back online.

I never thought it would be just like being stranded without your car, when you want/need to get somewhere. Many thanks to my friend Ms. C for letting me check occasionally for any urgent business, but THERE IS NOTHING LIKE HAVING YOUR OWN CONNECTION!

PS She bought a laptop loaded with Winders 7 - so much to learn......da Pup

Feet

I am very blessed in that I do not need anti wrinkle cream for my face, but my feet and the backs of my hands could definitely use improvement. Personally I think my hands look just fine, but my wife insists on pointing them out to other people as a sign of my real age as well as an indication of my arthritis. Sheesh!!

And The Answers ARE??????

I am looking for phrase suggestions to go with the following combinations:

2ZVBVH OR 2ZVVVH OR 22ZVVH the VV could be Very Vivacious

Or

4YZDHC OR 44YZHC OR 24YZHC the HC could be High Chair

Job Sites

This in NOT a Dollar po$t. It is something I was told about - from a reliable source. That source had a lot to do with me getting the great job.
...
I have a job and am very grateful for that fact, but I also have many friends that need to find GOOD Job Sites in THEIR job search. Perhaps you have a friend or two that this may help!
Job sites with a twist from an article on Smart Money magazine. [Job-Matching Sites Beef Up Offerings at SmartMoney.com http://www.smartmoney.com/personal-finance/employment/Job-Matching-Sites-Beef-Up-Offerings/#ixzz0czaR2IBJ]

Bintro.com : relies on job seekers’ own words more than drop-down answers. Its technology can match, say, a nurse who cites “emergency room” experience with a hospital posting for its “critical-care unit,” says CEO Richard Stanton.
Florida-based recruitment-ad consultant Peter Zollman says such nuance can go too far, possibly eliminating good jobs. Bintro also connects charities with volunteers and entrepreneurs with investors.

Jobfox.com : has the largest internal database of all the job-matching sites (100,000-plus from 5,000 employers) and e-mails both the job hunter and the company when it finds a match.

Please Help

I was just informed that our parent company is donating $75,000 to aid in the Haiti humanitarian effort for those affected by this devastating earthquake.

Opportunities directed specifically to Haiti Relief:

Personally I prefer to give time & money to the American Red Cross. Too bad they can't use my blood. When I was single I helped out several times - dispensing food & blankets after a few tornadoes obliterated the East side of Harris county. I have seen a lot of damage to individual homes, but not where several subdivisions disappeared.

Thereof

Way back when I was a mere pup - no not the HANDSOME Pup I AM Today. Back when I was but a youngster there were oh so many things I did not have the lease concern of - amongst these are life insurance; food and the eventual lack thereof; rent or a place to call home; getting around the mulberry bushes funds; more income and less out go.

The Question

what was the first living creature to orbit earth - nope not the dog 0 the amoeba on the outside of the capsule. oh you say that such a creature can't live in a vacuum, well then I guess its a politician - they exist in their minds - a truly empty space.

Holy Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrail

If a Holy Grail is that which we can never find; that which we own; that which we can never afford either acquiring or retaining; that which we can not afford financially; that which is always improved AFTER the point in our measly existence on Earth that we can earn five wonderfully glorious mammolians << The Spell Checker doesn't like this.....then it is probably computer memory.

The Task

I had written a delightfully interesting comment on tv stands vs a small, black, wooden, you assemple it yourself, three shelved bookcase but I thinnk I will jot down my thoughts on the fly as they say. (If anyone ever finds out who the hell "they" are, be sure to inform me - ok?)
The problem is not in identifying which piece of furniture will do me the most good (obviously the shelving would), rather it is in giving up viewing the TV long enough to accomplish the task.

Its Makin' Me Nuckin Futs

Yeah it really does.

They tell you in the latest set of commercial that you don't HAVE to prick your fingertips to get blood. You can now prick your forearm being less painful to get blood for the Blood-Glucose meter.

Guess what? You could have been getting blood samples from your arm - all along. BUT you HAVE TO KEEP IN MIND that the blood sugar count in place NOT YOUR FINGERTIPS can and probably WILL BE 2 HOURS OLD.

In other words, if you eat that peach pie at noon and want to know what your blood sugar count is? TAKE THE SAMPLE FROM YOUR FINGERTIPS!! Otherwise THE BLOOD SUGAR NUMBER WON'T REFLECT the Real Conditions in your system.

This is not to say that you CANNOT take your less painful sample of blood from your Arni, leg or just below your stomach - YOU CAN - JUST record where it came from and be consistent about the time interval and location. The Dr. can still get his/her information needed to help you.

AND BESIDES THEIR METER TALKS!!
